At the European nursery trade fair in Cologne last week, Jelly Products was delighted to see its revolutionary design for a stroller folding mechanism on display as the brand new Quinny Yezz.
The Quinny Yezz was one of four finalists in the prestigious “Kind u Jugend” innovation awards in the category “World of Moving Baby”. The jury had high praise for the Quinny Yezz: in view of the product’s lightweight yet strong design, the jury called it the “perfect pram for a shopping trip in the city”.
With the unique design and materials of the Yezz, Quinny asks parents to “make the city your playground”. It is smart, compact and ultra lightweight; designed using the latest technology and lightest materials, this strong, durable and easy to use buggy is ideal for tackling every challenge in the city.
Jelly Products invented the Yezz’s unique folding mechanism in 2008. Jelly’s founders Sam and Gemma Pearce lived in London when their children were born so they had real life experience of the needs of the family in the city. Sam wanted a stroller that would work for a family on the move in the city better than anything else he could find – so he invented a completely new way of folding a stroller to make it both compact and strong. Jelly sold its patented design for the revolutionary new lightweight stroller to Dorel, the company behind the high quality Quinny brand of nursery products. Quirky British invention combined with Dorel’s experience and innovative use of materials resulted in the Quinny Yezz, which Dorel launched in Cologne on 15 September 2011.
